Climate, and its impact on health is widely acknowledged as one of the biggest challenges to humanity. At the individual level, rising temperatures cause heat exhaustion, dehydration and heal-related deaths. Communities are increasingly facing worsening air quality and higher rates of respiratory diseases, and extreme weather can constrain access to food and water supplies. Undoubtedly, research evidence is needed to inform action, and high-quality, ethical research depends on carefully considered community engagement.
