In February 2015, the Wellcome Trust held the sixth annual International Engagement Workshop for scientists and public engagement specialists to discuss the relationship between the environment, nutrition and health, and the importance of engaging the public in these areas.

This workshop encouraged discussion on the ethical, social and cultural issues that surround research into food, health and the environment as well as the best ways of producing activities that inform, consult and collaborate with communities. The workshop report can be downloaded from this page and a resource capturing all aspects of the workshop including presentations, background reading and speaker information is available here.

The Wellcome Trust supports various major, multidisciplinary initiatives dedicated to exploring the connections between environment, nutrition and health, including Our Planet, Our Health and the Public Engagement Initiative on Food and Drink called The Crunch
