This document has been produced by UNICEF, in close collaboration with the WHO and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). It aims to provide a tool for those working with communities affected by Zika virus on how to increase community groups’ understandings of the disease, and how to prevent its spread. The document used the best scientific evidence on zika prevention and control available at the time, but will be revised periodically as new knowledge comes to light.
