Video created for PRIDE project: PHFI Mental Health Public Engagement Programme
Globally celebrated every 10th October, World Mental Health Day brings together thousands of supporters across the world to observe an annual awareness programme to bring attention to mental health and its profound impact on people’s lives.
Set in the midst of a mental health crisis in India, where suicide and self-harm are the leading cause of death among young Indians, the PRIDE Project hosted a 5-day event from 6th-10th October at the Durga Puja Festival in New Delhi, India, to raise awareness among young people about mental health.
This brief report provides you with an overview of PRIDE’s activities at the Festival, which included a mixed-media game stall, children’s mini-comic book and performances by local arts organisations.
