The Ebola Response Anthropology Platform is a repository website, bringing together a wide range of resources by anthropologists. It offers advice from an anthropological perspective on how to engage with socio-cultural and political dimensions of Ebola outbreaks, and how to build locally-appropriate interventions. It is split into 6 sections, with each section further split into briefings and guides; background; and field notes:
-
Identifying and diagnosing cases
-
Management of the dead
-
Caring for the sick
-
Clinical trials/research
-
Preparedness
-
Communication and engagement
After the West African Ebola epidemic ended the site closed to new material, but much of it is relevant to community engagement for preparedness and could be adapted for use in future outbreak scenarios of Ebola or other epidemic diseases.
