Survey Call: Help Develop Equitable Research Funding Priorities on Infectious Diseases Sources and Drivers Across the World

Wellcome is a global charitable foundation that funds research to tackle the biggest health challenges facing humanity. Understanding the sources of infectious disease and drivers of escalation, is a key focus area. Wellcome seek to hear from the global research, healthcare, and policy community to guide their funding plans to ensure that research happens equitably across the world and that the evidence is relevant, accessible and can be taken up to change health outcomes everywhere.

The Global Health Network and Wellcome are launching a global survey to gather your perspectives on the research priorities in this area. Our aim is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the most pressing research needs and to form a consensus among different sectors, including human and animal health.

You are invited to take this short survey as it will be a powerful mechanism to contribute to this consensus seeking objective. In the survey you will be asked if you are interested in attending an in-person workshop to discuss the findings of the survey and form consensus. Workshops will be co-hosted by The Global Health Network Centres in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in collaboration with regional partners, as survey results will be considered at a regional level.

Your contribution will be vital in determining a global perspective on research and development priorities surrounding sources and drivers of escalating (or at risk of escalating) infectious diseases. It will also have the potential to guide where funding should be targeted across different areas. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.
