This video captures the highlights of an expert panel discussion on ‘Sustaining Vaccines Confidence in a Post-Truth Era’ which was part of the International Society of Neglected Tropical Diseases (ISNTD) d³ conference in June 2018. The panelists discuss issues such as how to build and maintain trust, the role of experts and the media, and the importance of equipping health workers with good vaccine information.

The following speakers took part:

  • Rachel Grant, Director of Advocacy and Communications at CEPI

  • Pauline Paterson, The Vaccine Confidence Project at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

  • Tikki Pangestu, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore

The panel discussion is split into two parts: ‘what we’re facing today’, and ‘what we can improve tomorrow’.
